Pastor Zina Pierre

Rev. Dr. Zina C. Pierre is founder of Zina Pierre Ministries and The Breaking Room (TBR) virtual prayer and deliverance ministry in Lanham, MD.  She is President and CEO of the Washington Linkage Group – a government relations and strategic consulting firm in Washington, DC.  She is also the author of the book “Your Prayers Matter to God: 30 Day Strategic Prayer Guide and Devotionals.”

Founded upon the book of Isaiah 10:27, The Breaking Room’s mandate is to empower men and women of God to “break through spiritual and natural barriers and birth into a purpose filled life” through the word of God, teaching strategic prayer and faith coaching.  Join Dr. Zina each morning Monday – Friday at 7:00am (EST) for the “Pray it Forward” prayer and worship call, and on Thursday nights at 8:00pm for weekly bible study calls (dial-in 712-451-0281 access code 749779#).   Additionally, she posts inspirational messages via social media forums to a diverse group of thousands across the globe.

In March 2015, Dr. Zina established the “Share the Love” Outreach Mission that donates over 1000 toys each year to children with incarcerated or deceased parents, FREE blankets to nursing home bound seniors, donate coats, clothing and food to DC’s homeless population, provide toiletries and clothing to battered women shelters and transitional homes for returning citizens, provide food to families during the holiday seasons and throughout the year, and support parents with children on the autism spectrum and ADHA to find assistance and needed resources.

Pastor Zina has hosted “virtual revivals” featuring Bishop David G. Evans, Bishop Jackie McCullough, Dr. Jamal Bryant and others.  In August 2014, she launched “The Breaking Room Encounter” Conference held each August hosting speakers such as Bishop Jackie McCullough, Dr. Jamal Bryant and Bishop Greg Davis. She began her virtual prayer journey in September 2011 where she served for over three years as an intercessor for Girlfriends Pray, a virtual international prayer network of over 165,000 women across the globe.

Dr. Zina served 8 years in the Clinton Administration, with her last position as special assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs in the Executive Office of President Bill Clinton.  Born and raised in Annapolis, MD, Pastor Zina gave her life to Christ in 1971 at the tender age of seven.  In 1995, hearing the voice of God to serve, she began her spiritual quest as a student at the Dr. H. Beecher Hicks School of Prophets for three years. In 1998, Pastor Zina began breaking barriers and became the first woman licensed to preach in the over 100 year history of her childhood church at the First Baptist of Annapolis where she served as youth minister for 8 years.  During her tenure she established a weekly community youth bible study, physically and spiritually feeding youth from across the city of Annapolis. After the death of her childhood pastor where she served, God called Pastor Zina to the Temple of Praise.  In 2006, she was ordained as an elder by Bishop Glen A. Staples, and later appointed as an associate pastor in 2009.

Dr. Zina’s secular experience includes a career in journalism and politics.  From 1985 – 1993, she worked in the television media industry. From 1993 – 2001, she served for eight years in the Federal government as a political appointee under the Clinton Administration with her final position as special assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs in the Executive Office of the President at the White House. As the Honorable Zina Pierre – she served as President Bill Clinton’s policy adviser on local government issues and liaison to the Nation’s mayors and county officials. In 2001, upon leaving the Clinton Administration, she founded the Washington Linkage Group, a government relations and strategic consulting firm. In 2012, she co-founded the Green Solve Group, an alternative energy solutions firm focusing on solar, wind, sustainable energy options and green construction management.  In February 2016, Dr. Pierre founded Reyarp Strategies Group, a political consulting and strategic management firm.  She also served as the National African American Faith Outreach Director for Hillary for America.

Dr. Zina has lectured and preached in venues across the world including: Woman Thou Art Loosed, Bishop David G. Evans Pastors & Leadership Conference, National Conference of Black Mayor’s Business Trade and Missions trip to South Africa, the Temple of Praise Holy Convocation and Annual Spring Conferences workshops, Women World Leaders with Abbie Disney and Gloria Steinem, World Conference on Racism in South Africa, etc.  She is a graduate of Anne Arundel Community College, Catholic University of America (CUA), attended Howard University School of Divinity and received her doctorate of religious philosophy from Tabernacle Bible College and Seminary.
